Thank You...

Thank you for my new hip...
It's been quite a trip...
Now I can return to the high sea's...
And I am loving this feeling of no plan B's...
I have a new appreciation and zest for life...
Even if I should encounter some strife...
Everything is so worthwhile...
And now I can go that extra mile...
So thanks again from the bottom of my heart...
And I will remember that 'Life is Art'...

Portugal ( A Day in the Life)

Well, these are some of the pictures I took when I went to Portugal last year. Alot of the scenery is breath taking. This is only a small portion of what we saw, but I hope it gives you a taste of the atmosphere there. It is quite different from living in suburbia just north of Toronto. There is always good espresso coffee to drink no matter how small the town you're in and of course good wine and very inexpensive. There are no drive thru's (not even in the big cities). I think that is a good thing because people tend to sit down and eat and relax a little over their meal. We need a little time through the day. Alot of towns have markets through the week where you can see all the gypsies and buy just about anything for a good deal. There is always food and wine available to eat and drink so you can shop till you drop. The ocean is always pretty close wherever you are, which is quite a treat for us who live far from an ocean. I can't wait to go back and discover more beauty and explore old cities.

The colours of summer

So, here we are again in the dog days of summer...so far it's been pretty nice...Joe and I have the privalege of waking in the morning and while we eat our breakfast, we watch nature at it's best. The birds are feeding, the squirells are around to catch the birds crumbs on the ground, we have bunnies running around playing in the front yard. It is quite a beautiful sight. The floweres are all blooming now. It looks like that in the fall we are going to get some nice fruits and vegetables from the garden. I love the autumn also...Let's enjoy the rest of the summer.

Well, here we are in the great TO. I love it!! There are so many great area's to go see and walk to...we have great big parks and lots of nice little cafe's to get a snack or a good coffee... I miss that in suburbia, there are not too many parks and certainly no interesting places to walk to...you have to make due with walking around your neighbourhood and looking at people's grass and how short or long it is...it is not walking friendly...it is only car friendly...unfortunately...but in the city you can walk forever and always see something interesting...that is my point...if the government wants the suburbs to work and people to be more healthy, then we have to make them more interesting for people to walk around , ...community cafe's and nicer parks ...get people out of their cars...that would be good...please lets do it..we should write our community government people ...whoever they might be...I'll have to look into that...my mission for a little while...we must enjoy what we have around us!!!But we can always make it better!!

The first Snowfall...

The first snowfall is always so nostelgic and beautiful. It brings back memories of playing and missing school. There is alot of beauty in snow... Everything is softer and quieter for a little while. The air is crisp and fresh and quite invigorating. Take a deeeep breath! MMMMM... lovely...Nature is quite amazing! Lets enjoy our Canadian weather!! Go for a walk and admire the lights that people decorate on their houses. This can be quite a magical time of year...
